Pedestrian killed in Centurion

The man believed to be in his 20s was declared dead on the scene.

A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a vehicle in Raslouw, Centurion on Tuesday evening.

Cert-SA spokesperson Ruan Heyns said the incident happened around 21:30 on Ruimte Road near Erasmus Road.

“A man believed to be in his 20s was declared dead on the scene after he hit by a car. The occupants of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries,” he said.

Heyns said Wiedabrug police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“We would like to thank the police, Axon Security, Monitor Net and Gauteng Emergency medical services for their assistance on the scene,” Heyns added.
