Local police station closed as member tests positive for Covid-19

“The building will be undergoing decontamination and the community will be informed when the station will be operational again."

The Atteridgeville police station has temporarily been closed for decontamination due to a member testing positive for Covid-19.

SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters said the community service centre will relocate to Mbolekwa hall in Tau Street during the decontamination period.

“The community is advised to call 10111 for all complaints and emergencies that need to be attended to by Atteridgeville police station.

“The telephone lines at Atteridgeville SAPS community service centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure.

“The building will be undergoing decontamination and the community will be informed when the station will be operational again.

“The SAPS management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this,” said Peters.
