Covid-19 cases in SA rise to 276 242
12 058 new cases recorded as of Sunday and 108 more people have died.

South Africa now has a total of to 276 242 confirmed Covid-19 cases, the Department of Health announced on Sunday.
This is an increase of 12 058 new infections from Saturday.
One hundred and eight more deaths have been recorded, bringing the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the country to 4 079.
Of the new recorded cases of death due to Covid-19, seven are from KwaZulu Natal, 15 from the Western Cape, 22 from the Eastern Cape and 64 from Gauteng.
According to data released by the Department of Health, 134 874 recoveries have been recorded to date.
In total, 2 154 391 Covid-19 tests have been conducted.

The following confirmed Covid-19 cases have been detected in each province, according to the data released on Sunday:
– Western Cape: 78 399 cases
– Gauteng: 98 431 cases
– KwaZulu-Natal: 25 572 cases
– Eastern Cape: 50 300 cases
– Limpopo: 3 014 cases
– Mpumalanga: 3 977 cases
– North West: 9 924 cases
– Northern Cape: 1 401 cases
– Free State: 5 224 cases
