749 new cases confirmed in the region on Monday.
Pretoria Covid-19 cases continue to surge, now with overall tally of 31 394, according to stats published by the Gauteng health department.
Areas in the west of Pretoria and the CBD remained the region’s hotspot with 9 753 cases and 5 678 recoveries.
Meanwhile, the region recorded 749 new cases on Monday, with 14 981 recoveries and 318 deaths recorded, thus far.
The breakdown was as follows:
City of Tshwane 31 394 cases breakdown:
– City of Tshwane 1: Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane, Winterveldt, Soshanguve, Rosslyn, Karen Park, Wonderboom, Akasia, Nina Park, Orchards, Amandasig, Theresa Park, Pretoria North (6 886 cases and 3 438 recoveries);
– City of Tshwane 2: Hammanskraal, Temba, Suurman, Dilopye, Stinkwater, Ramotse, New Eersterust, Kameeldrift, Pyramid/Rooiwal, Doornpoort, Kekana Gardens, Marokolong, Randstown, Kanana (2 218 cases and 702 recoveries);
– City of Tshwane 3: Atteridgeville, Laudium, Pretoria CBD, Hercules, Danville, Saulsville, Lotus Gardens, Pretoria West (9 753 cases and 5 678 recoveries);
– City of Tshwane 4: Lyttelton, Eldoraigne, Waterkloof, Olievenhoutbosch, Rooihuiskraal, Centurion, Brooklyn, Hatfield (5 224 cases and 2 320 recoveries)
– City of Tshwane 5: East Lynne, Rayton, Cullinan, Dewagensdrift, Refilwe, Silverton, Onverwacht (593 cases and 162 recoveries);
– City of Tshwane 6: Eersterust, Lethabong, Mamelodi, Silver Lakes, Garsfontein, Lynnwood, Queenswood, Wilgers, Waltloo, Equestria, Mooikloof, Brummeria (5 958 cases and 2 426 recoveries); and
– City of Tshwane 7: Ekangala, Sokhulumi, Dark City, Zithobeni, Bronkhorstspruit, Kanana, Rethabiseng (670 cases and 242 recoveries).
In the Tshwane district, the department reported 92 unallocated cases.
