East woman charged for boyfriend’s grisly murder
His body was found wrapped in a refuse bag and had multiple wounds.

A 35-year-old woman has been arrested after the body of her boyfriend was discovered in her home in the east of Pretoria on Sunday evening.
The boyfriend visited the woman’s place in Mooikloof Ridge two weeks ago.
On Sunday evening, the boyfriend’s body was found wrapped in a refuse bag and had multiple wounds, said Boschkop police spokesperson Sergeant Yeroboam Mbatsane.
“The security guard and the police were called to the house by the suspect’s sister and on arrival, they found the body of a 40-year-old inside the garage,” he said.
Mbatsane said police were also notified that the suspect was admitted to hospital after allegedly drinking petrol the day before the body was discovered.
“The girlfriend is charged with murder and will appear in court this week. She was under police guard but it is believed she may have been discharged this morning,” Mbatsane said.
Inside the deceased’s car, police found an axe, handcuffs, and a doormat soaked in blood, Mbatsane said.
