Rainy weekend on the cards for Pretoria

South African Weather Service has predicted rain for most of the coming weekend.

While temperatures were expected to cool down from Thursday, the South African Weather Service predicted rain up until Sunday morning.

“For today, we are expecting thunderstorms throughout Gauteng.

“For Pretoria, we expect cloudy conditions, and a maximum of 25 degrees Celsius,” said SA Weather Service forecaster Celeste Fourie.

“Things will cool down tomorrow as we are again experiencing thunderstorms.”

There’s a 60% chance of rain expected throughout the day, Fourie added.

On Saturday, isolated thundershowers will persist throughout the day.

Temperatures were expected to reach a high of 26 degrees.

The weather will only clear on Sunday with partly cloudy conditions.

Fourie said there’s less chance of rain going into next week.
