TMPD make several arrests

“The TMPD drug unit and three sector 2 regional members arrested a male for dealing in drugs as he was found in possession of drugs known as CAT and Crystal Meth.”

Tshwane metro police department (TMPD) on Friday conducted operations leading to arrests for unlicenced firearms, drugs and possession, stolen livestock and drug dealing.

TMPD spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said the daily normal duties yielded great results for the department. Mahamba said on Friday several successes were recorded, when the TMPD tactical unit members received a tip-off about a person selling drugs from his home in Soshanguve.

“The members planned a joint operation and attended the tip-off. They went to the premises and they found a male suspect. Upon searching the premises, they found drugs (CAT) in ziplocks and blocks.”

He said they also found an unlicenced firearm.

“The firearm tested positive relating to another case in Rietgat. The 27-year-old male was arrested for possession of drugs and possession of an unlicenced firearm and ammunition.”
