Rietgat police station commander Brigadier Molatelo Maphoto praised the police for swiftly following up on the information and making an arrest.
“This is part of cleaning the streets of our precinct and ensuring that illegal firearms and drug dealing has no place in our community.
“I am also happy for the positive tip-off by the community, it goes to show that if we work together and nurture the partnership our streets will be crime-free and our children will be safe from drugs and other substances peddled in our community.”
Maluleka said the man will soon appear before the Soshanguve magistrate’s court.
