Renewing licence service at Post Office fares well

The identity document of the vehicle owner must be presented when renewing the car licence.

The Post Office branch in Eco Boulevard, Centurion, has seen record levels of motor vehicle licence renewals since it reopened for this service on Monday.

According to Post Office regional general manager, Solly Gaybba, this was due to the fact that the Post Office does not charge any commission for renewing a car licence.

“It issues the licence disc on the spot. The owner of the vehicle does not have to return a day later to collect the disc,” he said.
