Mother, daughter seriously hurt in west accident
Upon arrival, medics found the car partially wrapped around the tree.
A mother and a daughter were seriously injured when the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a tree in Mountain View, west of Pretoria, on Friday night.
The vehicle, which was carrying a family of four, crashed into the tree around 23:50, said Best Care spokesperson Xander Loubser.
“Upon arrival, medics found the car partially wrapped around the tree. It seems like no other vehicles were involved in the crash,” he said.
“In the car, we found four people: two girls, a mother and a father.”

Both the mother and the eldest daughter were trapped inside it.
“The mother sustained head injuries while the daughter suffered serious injuries. Both of them were freed from the wreckage using the jaws of life.”
“The mother was treated on scene before she was airlifted to hospital. Her eldest daughter was transported to a nearby hospital.”
Loubser said the father suffered minor injuries while the young daughter was seriously hurt in a west accident.
“I would like to give a big thank you to the community for taking the youngest daughter away from the very traumatic scene. In doing so, they saved her a lot of trauma.”
