Fidelity CEO says a security officer who was walking out of a retail store was attacked by armed man dressed in a retail firm's full uniform.
Three suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash after several shots were fired during a cross-pavement robbery in Hatfield on Thursday morning.

Chief executive officer (CEO) of Fidelity, Wahl Bartmann, said that one security officer was inside the cash office of a retail outlet in Hatfield and when he walked out back to the vehicle, he was attacked by an armed man who was dressed in the retail firm’s full uniform.
“As the officer came out of the store, he was confronted by one suspect who was dressed in the retail outlet’s full uniform. “The suspect overpowered the officer and fled,” said Wahl.
A second suspect started shooting at the Fidelity CIT vehicle, which was waiting outside.
“The Fidelity crew were forced to flee in the vehicle to avoid the shots fired while the three suspects sped off in a blue BMW 3 series,” he said.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Kilnerpark Security and various policing units responded to the crime scene.
