Soshanguve man nabbed for possession of a stolen VW Kombi

"The vehicles registration was tested and found to be false, the vehicle identificatoin number was also tested and had a status of a stolen vehicle."

Police arrested a 35-year-old man in Soshanguve Block M on Friday for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

The police were on patrol when they received a tip-off that there was a suspicious vehicle nearby, said Soshanguve police spokesperson Constable Nhlanhla Zondi.

Upon arrival, they found a white VW Kombi.

The vehicle’s registration was checked and found to be false, the vehicle identification number was also checked and was found to have been reported as stolen.

Zondi said the man was arrested and the vehicle was impounded.

He said the man will soon appear at the Soshanguve magistrate’s court facing charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.
