Woman (50) dies after being hit by taxi in Hatfield
The 50-year-old woman was attempting to cross the N4 road when she was hit by a taxi.
A 50-year-old woman has died after being hit by a taxi on the N4 West in Hatfield on Wednesday afternoon.
It is believed she was hit as she crossed the N4 West road between the N1 and End Street at 17:45.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said police quickly arrived on the scene and called paramedics in for medical help.
Van Reenen said paramedics declared the woman dead on the scene.
“She sustained fatal injuries and unfortunately could not make it.
“One other commuter was transported to hospital by a private ambulance with minor injuries,” he said.
