Four in hospital after north multi-vehicle accident
The crash involved a taxi, a truck and two small motor vehicles.
Four people were injured when four vehicles collided in Onderstepoort in the north of Pretoria on Tuesday morning.
The collision happened on Soutpan Road, near the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital.
It involved a taxi, a truck and two small motor vehicles, according to Ambu-Link emergency medical services operational manager Albert van Nieuwenhuizen.
Albert said the exact circumstances behind the accident were unclear.
He said people were treated on the scene and transported to the hospital by another emergency medical service.
“Fortunately no one sustained critical injuries,” he said.
“All four of them sustained moderate injuries.”
Albert urged motorists to always be aware of their surroundings and ensure that their seatbelts are fastened.
