Education department endorses NGO’s plan to promote education
Kool 2B South African unveiled another trophy to its partner in the initiative, Toyota Hatfield, earlier this month.
Local NGO Kool 2B South African visited the Gauteng Education Department as part of its “Matrics Glory Floating” trophy unveiling tour.
The trophy is meant to honour the top-performing matriculants in the region. With final examinations wrapping up, the NGO has been on tour showcasing the different awards that will be up for grabs during the final ceremony planned for early 2023 after the results are announced.
“We were welcomed warmly by the department whilst showcasing the Kool 2B South African Matrics Glory floating trophies when we visited them. They were excited and determined to win these trophies for their City of Tshwane south district after the matric results of 2022/23 are announced on January 19, 2023,” said president and founder of Kool 2B South African, Khaya “Kool” Seoketsa.

The executive management of the department and district led by director, Paula Galego, were in attendance for the unveiling and expressed their support for the efforts being made by the NGO.
On July 22, the district received the best national district award for its effort during the mid-year exams and will no doubt be looking to retain the title.
Kool 2B South African unveiled another trophy to its partner in the initiative, Toyota Hatfield, early this month.
“These awards are for the communities with the best matric results in an effort of pushing communities to play their part and take ownership of school property to protect our kids from being involved in criminal-related activities,” said Seoketsa.
The three categories in which the trophies are up for grabs include the best district, provincial and best in mathematics, science and technology.
