Two men were left injured on Monday morning after the scaffolding of a residential property in the Waterkloof Ridge area collapsed.

Two men were injured on Monday morning after a residential property in the Waterkloof Ridge area collapsed.

Local paramedic service Emer-G-Med said in a statement that the accident occurred just after 11:00.

“Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to reports of a structural collapse at a residential property.

“Upon arrival, it was established that a scaffolding had collapsed on a building site injuring two men.”

One of the men was critically injured, according to the emergency responders.

“Both men were treated and stabilised on the scene before a decision was made to airlift the critically injured patient with the assistance of the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter, to a specialist facility for the definitive care that he required.”
