His bakkie was riddled with bullets on its back and sides.

Police said the victim was part of a criminal organisation called ‘Zorro’.

It is believed that Mngidi was friends with the late Prince “Mongol” Mahlangu who was part of the same organisation.

Mahlangu, was killed in his car in a hail of gunfire in September last year in Sunnyside.

He was reportedly leaving Loftus Versfeld Stadium when the attack happened.

His car was found riddled with bullets after it crashed into a wall and the window of the car’s driver’s side was smashed.

He was rushed to a nearby medical centre but was declared dead on arrival.

Mahlangu was travelling with a female passenger who was not harmed during the incident.
