Thunderstorm warning issued for Pretoria, more rain expected

Partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers are expected on Saturday afternoon says the South African Weather Service.

Pretoria residents must brace themselves for showers and thundershowers expected to hit in the afternoon on Saturday going into the evening.

The minimum temperature will be 16ºC to the maximum of 25ºC with 5mm of rain, with a probability of 60% rainfall in the evening.

On Sunday morning, it is expected to be partly cloudy with a minimum temperature of 16ºC, and a maximum of 27ºC.

Cloudy weather conditions are also expected in the afternoon with a shower and thundershowers in the evening, with a rain probability of 30%.

Lulama Menze from the South African Weather Service said Pretoria residents must expect relatively mild downpours and thundershowers the whole of Saturday.
“There’s a slight chance of rain mid-day and showers going into the evening.

“Residents must expect cool weather conditions the whole day.

“Motorists must drive with caution as some roads might be slippery.”
