Bulls fans enjoy rock concert and dominant victory

Van Coke later led the 1 200 people on a walk to the stadium just before the game started at 16:00 where they occupied a section.

Loftus stadium goers enjoyed an abundance of entertainment on Saturday with rock & roll on the agenda ahead of the rugby.

Thousands showed up to watch the highly anticipated clash between Vodacom Blue Bulls and Ireland’s Leinster Rugby Club but first, 1 200 people had enjoyed a performance by Francois Van Coke and friends next door at Loftus Park before the big game.

The lineup for the stage included Mensdom, Skelm, Zaan Sonnekus, CRASHCARBURN as well as Francois Van Coke and Die Gevaar among others.

Van Coke later led the 1 200 people on a walk across to the stadium before the game started at 16:00.

The acclaimed singer then sang a special song for an 80-year-old grandmother that had flown in from Western Cape to fulfil a dream to watch the Bulls live at Loftus.

She chose a special day because the Bulls later registered an emphatic 62-7 win over Leinster.

Head of marketing at Blue Bulls, Shamil Mangaroo said the partnership with Francois van Coke is one that Loftus always appreciates.

“We had a crazy day with the three matches going so to have Francois and them rocking out there added another level of an enjoyable experience for everyone. That’s what’s South Africans are all about: good music and good entertainment,” Mangaroo said.

Attendees also enjoyed all the amenities the stadium had to offer from the food stalls, jumping castles and games.
