Get the kids out and about with the action-packed world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Irene Village Mall transformed into an immersive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem experience, complete with green toxic ooze, graffiti, and the bustling sewers of New York.
The mall promises kids will step into a world of ninja excitement and Mutant Mayhem, with photo opportunities alongside Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.
The experience is open from 09:00 to 18:00.
Kaalwoorde Open Mic Digkuns Aand, August 10

Do you appreciate poetry?
This open mic poetry evening might just be the thing for the more creative.
Various poets will share their art under the theme “Ongetem Vrou” (Untamed Woman), a fitting Women’s Day commemoration on August 9.

Trails for Trunks, August 12

Centurion Hiking Club is hosting this special event at the Big Red Barn in support of elephants.
For the more sporty resident, proceeds from this trail run or cycle course will be given to the HERD trust, supporting elephant orphanages on World Elephant Day.
What’s more, the best dressed in support of elephants will stand a chance to win awesome prizes.
The course offers 5km, 10km, and 21km trail runs or walks, and 10km or 20km cycle distances.
Online registration is required.
Mid-Month Craft Market, August 12

Support local with this quaint market at Cowhouse in the east of Pretoria.
The market boasts local food stalls with everything from burgers and pizza to Indian cuisine, coffee and pancakes.
It is also an opportunity to try a local craft beer at the Hazeldean Brewing Co. Tap Room, celebrating its first anniversary.
For the kids, pony rides, slip-n-slides, and a kiddies’ bike park are the perfect place for a family day out.
The market is open on Saturday and Sunday, from 09:00 to 16:00.
Dewald Dippenaar, August 11

Kick of the weekend with some local music as Dewald Dippenaar heads to JitterBugz in Centurion from 20:00.
If you miss him on Friday, catch him at Salsa Mexican Grill on Saturday, or take a day trip to Upperdeck in Hartbeespoort on Sunday.
Tollie Parton, August 12

The firecracker that built his massive following on TikTok is back for another stage show in Centurion.
Wynand Kotze will be presenting his show “Terug Vir Nog” for one last time at the Centurion Theatre, as he brings his side-splitting comedy as Tollie Parton.
Kotze promises the show is distasteful but honest, sad, and hideously funny.
The show will run from 19:30 on Saturday.
Boksaand 2023, August 12

Jack Parow, Zaan Sonnekus, Chunda Munki, Aidin Caye, and good old res traditions – The Boksaand is back again.
The University of Pretoria’s Morula Lagae residence will be pitting its best fighters against its best fighters, and the best from other places.
Close off the night with live performances by some of the best local acts.
The event is open to students and non-students, at Loftus parking lot from 16:00.
