Wetnose Rescue centre waives adoption fee for older dogs this month

Residents are urged to give the centre’s animals a second chance this Christmas or make a donation to ensure all its animals are cared for.

Wetnose Animal Rescue Centre in Hatfield is calling on Pretoria residents to give an old dog the gift of a new home this festive season, as it is offering a zero adoption fee for dogs aged seven and older.

The centre is dedicated to finding loving homes for these animals and this month, it is bringing back its November special of giving these pets to suitable owners.

Opened in 1999 as a registered non-profit organisation, it is devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. It houses over 600 of them with no assistance from the government or the municipality. With its right-to-life policy, it doesn’t put animals to sleep unless they are suffering and it is in their best interest.

The centre has announced an affordable offer for the whole of December that will keep people’s furry friends healthy and happy, where adult cats and dogs may be brought to its clinic for a comprehensive health package.

This includes vaccination, deworming and a rabies shot.

The special price for adult cats is R180 and for adult dogs, R200.

The clinic will be open for the whole of December, except on the 15th, 16th and 25th.

Contact the centre at 013 932 3941, email admin@wetnose.co.za, or visit Plot 75, Old BHS/Pta Road, Vaalbank.
