BCOM and Highway Apostles, Derdepark Centre, January 19

One for the rock lovers, local band BCOM and the legendary Highway Apostles are ready to explode on the Jarr Bar stage on Friday.

Admission to the event, which starts at 18:00 at Jarr Bar, is free.

Gerhard Steyn, Equestria, January 19

Afrikaans pop, rock and gospel singer Gerhard Steyn, who brought us the gem “Baby Tjoklits”, will treat Pretoria fans on Friday night.

Brooklyn Sugar-Free Market, Brooklyn, January 20

The Banting Real Food market is hosting its first event for 2024 at Brooklyn Mall.

The market takes place on the first Saturday of the month and boasts more than 50 stalls selling only sugar-free, diabetic-friendly, real food.

The market will take place at the Brooklyn Mall entrance 2 upper-level parking lot from 09:00 until 14:00.

Line dancing, Moreleta Park, January 20

All ages are welcome for the Rhythm Starz Dance Club International open day in Pretoria east for an introduction to line dancing.

Rocco de Villiers, Lynnwood Manor, January 21

Rocco is starting the new year with a skip in his step with his show Nuwejaarsklavier.

Alongside Hansie Roodt Jr, the show is the perfect way to kick off the new year.

After the success of Saterdagklavier, Somerklavier, and Sondagklavier, this show will bring some expected melodies with a 2024 twist.

Catch the show at the Atterbury theatre from 15:00 on Sunday.

The Sunday Blues, Menlyn, January 21

The South African Blues Society in conjunction with Sowaar Bar proudly presents Blues on a Sunday.

Established acts, newcomers and students of the Illimar Neitz guitar school will take to the stage at Sowaar Bar each Sunday for a month from January 14.

The first showcase will feature Illimar Neitz, Jaco Mans and Ronsard as the local musicians explore the Blues.

The concert is from 15:00 to 18:00 at Sowaar Bar on Sunday. Booking essential.
