Traffic disruption warning in CBD today
The health workers are said to marching over high rates of unemployment in the sector.

Motorists and other road-users are warned of a march in the CBD today.
South African medical trade union (Samatu) members will march to the Union Buildings to highlight unemployment among the healthcare workers.
The TMPD issued the warning late last night.
“The marchers will gather from 09:00 at the corner of Madiba and Kgosi Mampuru streets and march to the Union Buildings From the gathering point the marchers will join Madiba Street then proceed to the Union Buildings,” said TMPD spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba.
The following streets will be affected by the march:
– Madiba Street
– Thabo Sehume Street
– Lilian Ngoyi Street
– Sisulu Street
– Steve Biko Street
Residents and motorists are advised to use the following alternative streets:
– Struben Street
– Johannes Ramokhoase Street
– Francis Baard Street
– Stanza Bopape Street
SAPS and TMPD officers will be deployed to monitor the march.
