Police seek help in finding two missing persons from Mamelodi

Police need help in locating a man and a woman who recently went missing on different dates.

Mamelodi East police are still searching for two locals who went missing recently.

Paul Lethamaga (27) of Phase 5 in Mamelodi East was last seen on March 1 at a local tavern by his brother, where they were having drinks and Kgomotso Matlou (23) of Ext. 2 was last seen on February 16 en route to the local clinic.

Police spokesperson, Constable Penelope Khulong, said: “Lethamanga was reported missing by his brother, who alleges that on March 1, at around 21:00, he came to his residence and was invited to go and have some drinks at a local tavern.

“The complainant later left his brother at the tavern to go home, and the following day he received a call from his brother’s workplace indicating he had not reported for duty that day,” said Khulong.

She said the brother then became worried, as this was unusual, and went to his brother’s home to look for him.

He said the neighbours said they had last seen Lethamaga the previous morning leaving with his girlfriend.

“He has been missing since. He is dark in complexion and tall in height,” said Khulong.

Khulong said Matlou was last seen wearing a long black dress and white shoes.

Her sister claimed that as she was leaving for work, Matlou said she was going to the local clinic.

She said that when the sister returned, the children were alone at home.

“The children said they had last seen Matlou when she left for the clinic,” said Khulong.

“The following day, she asked some of her friends about her whereabouts, and they did not know. She further searched for her at family and relatives with no success.”

Anyone with information regarding Matlou’s whereabouts must call her sister on 082 215 4304, or in the case of Lethamaga, his brother on 079 696 4294.
