Several streets affected due to march today

Several streets will be affected today due to a planned march in the Pretoria CBD. Here are the affected streets.

Pretoria motorists are advised that several streets will be affected today due to a planned march. 

According to the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) the reason for the march is mismanagement of trust funds. 

“The marchers will gather from 11:00 at Princess Park and march to Masters of High Court 316 Thabo Sehume Street.”

The TMPD gave an outline of the march’s route. From the gathering point, they will join Francis Baard Street and proceed until they reach the Masters of High Court. 

They are expected to disperse at 13:30. 

The following streets will be affected: 

  • Francis Baard Street 
  • Bosman Street 
  • Kgosi Mampuru Street 
  • Sophie de Bruyn Street 
  • Paul Kruger Street 

“TMPD officers and SAPS will be deployed to monitor the march and all affected streets.” 

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as: 

  • Madiba Street
  • Nana Sita Street 
  • WF Nkomo Street 
  • Johannes Ramokhoase Street
