Pretoria West Mother offers R1000 reward for missing Jack Russell
Cashew was last seen at Westpark SPAR in Pretoria West at 13:00 on Sunday, May 26.
A desperate Pretoria West mother feels she has exhausted all avenues trying to find Cashew, a one-year-old Jack Russell.
According to Bianca Daniels, Cashew was picked up near the Westpark SPAR by two individuals driving a grey sedan.
Daniels, who is frantic to locate her daughter’s dog, has offered a R1 000 reward to anyone who can safely return Cashew who went missing on the afternoon of Sunday, May 26.
She said the dog was last seen at Westpark SPAR around 1 pm.
Cashew slipped out of the house through an open garage door while construction workers were at their property.
“She must have wandered off and ended up at the SPAR,” said Daniels.

She said her family was not at home when Cashew disappeared, but they immediately began searching the neighbourhood upon their return.
After an unsuccessful search they started putting up posters about the missing dog
“Later, a car guard contacted me claiming that Cashew was picked up near the SPAR by two individuals driving a grey sedan vehicle,” she said.
“After the call I thought the people who had picked her up would contact me after seeing the posters but nothing,” added Daniels.
She said her daughter is devastated and that Cashew only responds to her daughter’s commands, which adds to the distress.
“My daughter couldn’t sleep and cried throughout the night,” Daniels said.
She also mentioned that Cashew has a pre-existing nerve damage condition, caused by a bite from another dog before they adopted her, making the situation even more concerning.
“The family is eagerly waiting for any information that could lead to Cashew’s safe return,” she said.
Anyone who has information or might have seen Cashew can contact 082 312 6168 or 071 138 1148.
