Tshwane Metro Police Department appointed Deputy Chiefs Sean Bolhuis and Nomsa Nhlapho

The Tshwane metro has announced the appointment of two new deputy chiefs to its metro police department on June 6.
Community Safety MMC Grandi Theunissen said Sean Bolhuis, who previously was a Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) staff officer, brought a wealth of experience and a forward-thinking approach to his new role.
“Deputy Chief Bolhuis is responsible for overseeing training and innovation in the department.
His focus on training and innovation is expected to drive the TMPD towards adopting cutting-edge policing techniques and methodologies, ensuring that our officers are well prepared to meet the challenges of modern law enforcement.”
Theunissen said Nomsa Nhlapho is poised to strengthen the TMPD efforts in maintaining law and order across the diverse communities of Tshwane with her extensive background in regional policing as the former director for regions 5 and 7.

“Deputy Chief Nhlapho is responsible for regional policing.
I am confident that her leadership will enhance our ability to address regional issues effectively and efficiently.”
Theunissen said these appointments were a mark on a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to enhance the leadership and operational effectiveness of the TMPD.
“They come at a pivotal time as we continue to build on the considerable progress made under the fearless and omnipresent leadership of Commissioner Yolanda Faro,” he said.
He described Faro’s impact on the TMPD as one that has been transformative, characterised by a commitment to transparency, accountability and proactive law enforcement.
According to Theunissen, the addition of the deputy chiefs to the management team will further bolster their capacity to deliver on their promise of a safer and more secure Tshwane.
He extended his heartfelt congratulations to Bolhuis and Nhlapho on their appointments and is looking forward to the positive contributions they will undoubtedly make to the TMPD.
“Together, we will continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of our operations, ensuring that the TMPD becomes a trusted and respected institution within our communities.”
