Hennopspark burglary suspect to appear in court
The man was arrested on Tuesday at Wholesale Fencing in Centurion after being caught with a stolen laptop.
A man is expected in a Pretoria court on October 24 on charges of theft and possession of suspected stolen property.
Police spokesperson Johan van Dyk said on October 22 at around 17:40 there was a burglary at Wholesale Fencing on Jakaranda Street in Hennopspark, Centurion.
He said a Monitor Net officer spotted suspicious person walk out of the store.
“The officer noticed the suspicious suspect exiting the store with a laptop and approached him for questioning.”
Van Dyk said the suspect attempted to flee, but his efforts were thwarted when the officer quickly apprehended him.

“Further investigations revealed that the laptop was stolen,” Van Dyk said.
He said the suspect was arrested for theft, and then a second charge of possession of stolen property was added.
“The suspect was handed over to Wierdabrug police for further investigation.”
