Wonderboompoort police dispels printer donation misinformation

A social media post claims that the station has been without a printer since November 2023.

Police are dispelling claims the Wonderboompoort police station in Mayville, Pretoria had been without a working printer for over a year.

This follows after a recent social media post claimed that the Wonderboompoort police station had been without a working printer since November 2023.

Police have labelled the post as false and misleading.

Spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili said they are disappointed over the false social media claim that a printer was donated to the station.

She added that the claim states that the station has been without a printer since November 2023.

“That social media post is false and misleading,” said Muridili.

Muridili urged social media users to be responsible and refrain from spreading misinformation.

“The management of the police would like to appeal to social media users to be responsible and to refrain from spreading misinformation,” she stated.

“The police station has always had working printers and service delivery has never been hampered at any point due to printers not working.”
