Drug dealers in possession of crystal meth and mandrax were among those arrested.

“A roadblock was set up in Atteridgeville, with two tactical and operational teams conducting compliance raids and law enforcement operations across the policing areas. 27 undocumented individuals were detained and are currently awaiting legal processing for deportation,” said Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Van Dyk.

Police searched 24 identified premises and crime hotspots, leading to the arrests of two dealers for possession of and dealing in drugs, and the confiscation of 2 sachets of crystal meth and 42 mandrax tablets.

16 people were arrested and fined for drinking in public and 15 drivers arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
