Pretoria motorists can expect fuel price cut
Pretoria motorists could soon see some relief as fuel prices are expected to drop in the coming weeks. Here is the latest information.
Pretoria motorists may soon catch a break at the pumps, with early indicators pointing to a possible drop in fuel prices driven by global market shifts and currency movements.
The latest data from the Central Energy Fund (CEF) shows continued positive over-recoveries — the key metric for fuel price adjustments.
Petrol shows an over-recovery of between 19c and 21c per litre, while diesel is set for a more significant drop, with a 38c over-recovery recorded for both grades.
Here are the projections at the end of week three:
- Petrol 93: decrease of 19 cents per litre
- Petrol 95: decrease of 21 cents per litre
- Diesel 0.05% (wholesale): decrease of 38 cents per litre
- Diesel 0.005% (wholesale): decrease of 38 cents per litre
- Illuminating paraffin: decrease of 30 cents per litre
