Pairing of paint and wine adds a splash of joy to Mother’s Day

Art, wine, and warm connections filled the air as guests gathered to celebrate Mother’s Day creatively.

Pretoria’s moms were celebrated this weekend, some in real style – as the weather held, many families gathered outside to enjoy a relaxed and cheerful Mother’s Day, one of these were the Create, Paint & Sip Mother’s Day event hosted at Villa Barranco in Waterkloof Glen.

Friends, mothers, and daughters came together to enjoy a casual afternoon of painting, sipping wine, and spending quality time in the sun.

Guests were welcomed with the freedom to choose from a variety of canvasses. Some followed outlines while others let their creativity run wild, turning blank spaces into colourful expressions of the day.

The atmosphere was light and social, filled with conversation, laughter, and encouragement between tables. It wasn’t about skill, but about enjoying the process and sharing the experience with loved ones.

As paintings were completed, each participant posed proudly with their artwork, capturing the moment with smiles and snapshots. It became a playful highlight of the afternoon – everyone celebrating their personal masterpiece, no matter the style.
