Fans wearing Springbok jerseys back national team
Rugby fans who gathered at a local restaurant to enjoy food and drinks while watching the Springboks’ match against Georgia were not disappointed by the team’s performance.
Springbok fans gathered on Saturday afternoon at Die Kantoor Pub and Restaurant in Lynnwood to support their team against Georgia.
As was expected, the Springboks crushed Georgia 55–10 in their international July campaign held at Bombela stadium.
Chef Shane Martin from the restaurant said fans had a great time watching the match, enjoying food and drinks.
Rugby supporters arrived early to get their seats before the start of the match.
Edwin Magangane said singing the national anthem and wearing the Springbok jersey is his way to show support and encourage the Boks to play their best.
He encouraged everyone to always support the national team by wearing the national team’s jerseys.
“Watching the national team play at the restaurant is always fun, especially when we win and luckily, the Boks don’t disappoint,” said Magangane.
The fans were also celebrating the Springboks’ successful stint in the season so far and many agreed the road ahead of the rugby championship looked bright.
The Springboks’ next match will be against Australia on August 16, followed by New Zealand on August 23. Fans are certain to flock to the big screens again to support their team.
