Pretoria’s load-shedding schedule for this week

Eskom has announced that stage 2 load-shedding will be implemented from 16:00 to midnight from Monday to Wednesday.

These power outages will be kept to nighttime to replenish emergency generation reserves and have a minimal impact on the economy and population. Eskom said that load-shedding would be implemented only as a last resort when there is a shortage of generation capacity and to deal with breakdowns.

In Pretoria, this means that on Monday, the following schedule will be followed:

– 16:00-18:30 Group 7 and 11

– 18:00-20:30 Group 8 and 12

– 20:00-22:30 Group 9 and 13

– 22:00-00:30 Group 10 and 14

On Tuesday:

– 16:00-18:30 Group 3 and 7

– 18:00-20:30 Group 4 and 8

– 20:00-22:30 Group 5 and 9

– 22:00-00:30 Group 6 and 10

On Wednesday:

– 16:00-18:30 Group 15 and 3

– 18:00-20:30 Group 16 and 4

– 20:00-22:30 Group 1 and 5

– 22:00-00:30 Group 2 and 6

Eskom said that it would publish an update on Wednesday afternoon or when significant changes occur.

The power utility said 14 061MW generation capacity was unavailable due to breakdowns, and 5 487MW on planned maintenance.
