The weekends coming up have something for every vibe, from nature exploring for adventurous kids to pageants and live music in the park.
Fitness Runway Model 2022, October 15

Taking place at Monte de Dios Country Boutique Hotel, this fitness pageant is for Africa’s finest and one of the most coveted crowns in Africa. The pageant is open to everybody and anybody to compete in the ultimate platform for health, fitness, and beauty enthusiasts to gain recognition and exposure. The pageant starts at 09:00.
Helena Hettema in Concert, October 15

For an evening spent supporting a good cause, Sungardens Hospice will be presenting “Goodbye to the Living…” with Helena Hettema, who will bring her sensual voice through original compositions and some French favourites at NG Lynnwood Gemeente Hall at 19:00.
Gin Afternoon, October 15

Chilled vibes are in store at The Social Grill in Moreletapark, with live music to entertain attendees from 15:00 to 18:00. If you are having a good time, stay to catch a DJ on the decks from 18:00 and take your afternoon into the evening.
André Swiegers, October 23

Expect a picnic in the cool summer evening air at Pretorius Park with famed singer songwriter André Swiegers at “Die Tuin van Goed en Gaaf”. The event calls for you to bring your own picnic basket, chairs and blankets and starts at 16:00 for some live folk rock in the park.
Gauteng Spider Walk, October 16

Overcome your arachnophobia for this exploration at the Agricultural Research Council in Roodeplaat. The Spider Club of SA says that knowledge drives out fear, will be exploring the property to find some awesome spiders at the home of the National Collection of Arachnida.
Zoid’s Zenzational Lucky Packet Party, October 22

Catch local artists performing in Pretoria on October 22 at the Zoid’s Zenzational Lucky Packet Party at Monte de Dios. Karen Zoid will be performing alongside Black Cat Bones, Jemma Catherine, Sozlol, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Tollie Parton, Jan Blohm, Ryno Velvet and Bad Peter.
Peter Pan Dance Production, October 15
The dancers of Liezel Marais Dance Academy, Laerskool Lynnwood and Tyger Valley College will retell the story of Peter Pan in dance at the South African State Theatre at 11:00 and 15:00. The event promises unexpected twists on the classic tale, as well as the familiar favourites from Peter Pan.
