Kool 2B South African unveils matric trophies
This year, the Tshwane South district received the best national district award on July 22 for its effort during the mid-year exams.
With matric exams underway, local NGO Kool 2B South African and Toyota Hatfield have partnered to honour the top-performing matriculants in the region.
In a special ceremony on November 7, the trophies to be bestowed on the winning students next year were showcased.
President and founder of Kool 2B South African, Khaya “Kool” Seoketsa says: “These awards are for the communities with the best matric results in an effort of pushing communities to play their part and take ownership of school properties to protect our kids from being involved in criminal-related activities.”

Under the name Kool 2B South African matrics glory floating trophy, the NGO believes the initiative will bring communities together for a worthy cause.
The three categories in which the trophies are up for grabs include best district, provincial and best in mathematics, science and technology.
This year, the Tshwane South district received the best national district award on July 22 for its effort during the mid-year exams.
“The purpose of these awards is to encourage excellence in academic education and encourage the community to support learners and matrics,” Seoketsa continued.

“The question is whether the district and matriculants will make their community proud this year and retain this prestigious community award.”
Unveiling the trophies were Ms Dineo Lekalakala of Toyota Hatfield and President Seokesta of Kool 2b South African among others.
