Police give safety tips to commuters in the latest crime awareness campaign in Hammanskraal.
Temba police gathered to distribute pamphlets to taxi commuters at Kopanong taxi rank in Hammanskraal.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Herman Moremi, this was part of their crime awareness and safety tips.
He said the pamphlets contain safety tips for different types of crime including robberies, sexual offences, domestic violence, tampering with a crime scene and the use of drugs.

Police interacted with commuters while distributing the pamphlets.
They encouraged commuters to give the police information about any suspicious activities in their villages by calling numbers on the pamphlets or crime stop on 08600 10111 or 112 on any cell phone network.

They also urged commuters to be vigilant while shopping and avoid false prophets who pretend to bring good news.
They advised commuters not to withdraw large amounts of money from the bank and avoid taking lifts from strangers.
“Rather use public transport like buses and taxis,” he said.
