Teens celebrates birthday by donating stationery to school
He said he had never had a birthday party because his passion for education caused to rather donate the much needed tools of education.

Instead of spoiling himself on his 18th birthday and for obtaining two distinctions for his matric, Mamelodi extension 6 resident Neo Cholo has instead donated stationery to learners at a local school.
Cholo donated stationery to learners at Uoane primary school in Mamelodi east recently.
Cholo said he started donating stationery when he was 15.
He said he had never had a birthday party because his passion for education caused to rather donate the much needed tools of education.
Cholo visited the school a day before his birthday, January 28, to make the donation accompanied by members of local organisation Teens with Vision, which he helped found three years ago.
The non-profit organisation was formed with the aim of bringing change to the community by providing disadvantaged families, orphans and individuals with food packages, school goods, sanitary towels, clothes and helping teenagers with social issues.
He said donating stationery would motivate the learners to go to school and help them focus on their schoolwork.
“Stationery should not be a privilege but something to be given to everyone for free to raise the standard of education in this country,” he said.
Cholo donated book covers, rulers, pencils, rubbers, glue sticks and Typek paper and said the gift would not have been possible without the help of MB Life, Dlalisa Moyeni organisation, Eye of Hope and Teens with Vision.
When he was 16, Cholo authored a book The Journey, which tells the story of a young boy battled depression and came out stronger on the other side styled on his life.
Cholo pleaded with other local business people and organisations to help local schools with stationery and uniform donations.
“We need continued support,” he said.
