Jannie du Toit, March 8

The Tshwane Leadership Foundation (TLF) and Garden of Peace are set to host their benefit concert in Villieria at the Pierneef Theatre featuring Jannie du Toit.

The proceeds of the benefit concert will go into supporting and expanding the Gardens of Peace around the metro says coordinator, Prof Annalet van Schalkwyk.

“The audience will be an intercultural group of people who love music and gardening. It is going to be a celebration,” Van Schalkwyk said.

Jannie du Toit will be accompanied by flautist Anneli du Plessis-Hoberg.


Jaid River, March 3

Jaid River (Jeanlie Minnie) was born in Potchefstroom, grew up in George and currently lives in Pretoria.

This young musician and songwriter started performing at markets and restaurants in 2016, at the age of 17, and in the same year already had the opportunity to share a stage with Joshua na die Reën, Lizandra Winter and Len Muller.

Cindy-Louise, March 2

South African born, now living in the Netherlands, Cindy-Louise has a unique touch to her music with a rich vocal range and a pop sound with a hard rock twist.

Cindy-Louise is treating home-turf fans to a South African tour, with her last stop in Gauteng reserved for the Jacaranda city before she heads down to KZN.

Together with an exciting live performance, audiences can catch her newest single “9-2-5” released at the end of January.

Cindy-Louise will be performing at Fokof Bar from 20:30.

Scicoustic. March 3

SA’s top Jam-band Scicoustic is on tour this summer. With several chart-topping hits, Scicoustic needs no introduction to the original music lovers of South Africa. Brothers Albert & Gideon Meintjes are joined by Wouter Reyneke on bass and Billa Pansegrouw on percussion and didgeridoo. Scicoustic has always been famous for their beautiful songs, catchy melodies and stomping rhythms. Be sure to catch them at Railways Café on Friday.

Scicoustic is an acoustic rock band with strong African rhythms and melodically beautiful songs.

Lizz Meiring plays the fascinating character of the Widow Cliquot, full of interesting facts about the woman, her work, her life and her time.

The production starts from 19:30 at the Centurion Theatre.

Christo Burger + Akustika, March 3, 4, and 5

Christo Burger & Akustika’s new musical show “Birth of A New Moon” is the follow-up to their previous sold-out, music-driven theatre production “Night of A Dying Sun” at the Atterbury Theatre. With inspiration from celebrities such as Havasi, Vangelis and Hans Zimmer, Christo Burger creates with Akustika a world-award-winning choir, a new exciting cross-pollination of choral music, film music and theatre. With three chances to catch the show, this local production is one not to miss for serious music and theatre lovers.

Nianell, March 3

Nianell is back with her highly anticipated new album titled Coming Back To Life. This new offering is a full circle moment for this magical and mystical singer-songwriter from Namibia.

The legendary icon will be showcasing her newest album as well as some old fan favourites in a relaxing evening at the Centurion Theatre.

The show starts from 19:30.
