Fourth album for Mams gospel singer

“The message in my albums is that no matter how tough the situation can be, don’t throw in the towel, fight until something comes out, and you should always invite God in your plans.”

A Mamelodi gospel artist, Mokereng has touched lots of souls with his magical voice.

Mokereng is often mistaken for the famous late star, Lundi by most people who hear his voice for the first time.

The artist has described himself as a powerful man of God who chose to preach the Word of God and encourage people going through hardship to never give up.

Mokereng was born in Lephalale, Limpopo, relocated to Bronkhorstspruit before settling in Mamelodi, Mahube extension where he was exposed to different cultures.

His musical talent matured early age as he was born into a family that loves God.

As a result, Mokereng was naturally attached to music and that became a way for him to express himself.

He recently released his fourth album called Bophelo baka which is currently selling well.

Mokereng, who is a song writer, composer and vocalist, said all his albums consist of a track dedicated to his mum.

“The new album Bophelo baka is all about my family background and how I was raised by a single parent. As a mother of five children, she worked hard to put food on the table,” said Mokereng.

He is also the founder of Mokes Music Production (MMP) and he ploughs back into his supporters and different communities by hosting events such as award ceremonies, beauty pageants and gospels shows, every year. Proceeds are donated to charity.

“The message in my albums is that no matter how tough the situation can be, don’t throw in the towel, fight until something comes out, and you should always invite God in your plans.”

His first album Hlogo ya ditaba was released in 2016, his second Tlogela dillo in 2018 and his third album Ha ba fole malwetsi also in 2018.

“Respect your parents and other people around you and don’t judge,” he concluded.
