Police continue search for kidnapped Pretoria east businessman (55)

Private investigator Mike Bolhuis says he doesn’t believe Juca Leonardo has been harmed as no blood as been found with the vehicle. His car was found at Vesterpark (R568 road) with bullet holes in the windscreen on April 14.

It has been four days since a Pretoria East businessman has been kidnapped on Thursday, April 13.

The Bronkhorstspruit police are still investigating a case of the kidnapping of 55-year-old Juca Leonardo.

Leonardo’s car, believed to be a Mercedes Benz G wagon, was found at Vesterpark (R568 road) with bullet holes in the windscreen on April 14, police confirmed.

Bronkhorstspruit SAPS Constable Munyadziwa Ramovha said police had no leads as yet and were still busy with the investigations since Leonardo was reportedly kidnapped.

Leonardo was last seen wearing dark blue denim and a blue Polo shirt with the Pick N Pay logo and his name on the shirt.

Private investigator Mike Bolhuis told Rekord, “This kidnapping was well-oiled as the suspects were possibly heavily armed”.

“We were called last night, with security and friends who assisted in trying to locate Juca.

“His vehicle was seemingly found in a different scene from his abduction.”

He said they did not suspect the victim to be harmed as there was no blood where his vehicle was found.

Bolhuis said there had a few leads on their end and that they were engaging with police and security companies.

“We have seven special investigators on this case.”

He said in Bronkhorstspruit there was a large number of business robberies and kidnappings.

“Certain businessmen have been targeted and this is not the first incident.”

Bolhuis said the family was taking this matter “extremely hard” as the man is a husband and father.

He pleaded with the public to refrain from sharing unverified information on the case.

“We plead with those with the slightest information to contact us or the police.”

The police have requested anyone with information about this incident to please contact Sergeant Kube at 072 697 7851 or SAPS Bronkhorstspruit at 013 932 9222.

Alternatively, tip-offs can be reported on the MySaps app, which can be downloaded on any smartphone.
