Hatfield riders triumph on the roads this past weekend

There were some new faces and some old, though the air excitement was palpable nonetheless.

The quiet Sunday morning of April 23 in Hatfield was shattered by the sound of 20 Triumph motorbike riders taking part in their monthly group ride.

Riders from near and far flocked to the local Pretoria dealership, located at 409 Jan Shoba Street in Hatfield, to take part in what has become a tradition for the biker group.

“I know people may feel bikers are a scary bunch. However, when you get into the real gentlemen’s ride of it, which is what we provide here at Triumph, you’ll find a lot of like-minded people who care for their fellow riders,” says the owner of Triumph Pretoria, Elle Flynn-Sadie.

“I enjoy the realness of the people. You’ll find that we’re all just here for a wholesome good time,” Flynn-Sadie continued.

After the riders departed from Hatfield, they took the Krugersdorp highway passing by the Cradle of Humankind and stopping at the Van Gaalen’s cheese farm for some breakfast and bonding.

Flynn-Sadie plans to continue growing the Triumph community this year.

Coming up soon is International Female Riders Day in which 75 female bikers are expected to take part in a cross-provincial ride starting from the Hatfield dealership.

“You don’t have to give up anything about yourself to be a bike rider. I like to believe that I break the mould of what a traditional biker looks like and I want to spread that to others,” Flynn Sadie concluded.
