Family searching for missing boy (5)

Bokang was playing outside at the time of his disappearance.

A family in Phomolong, Mamelodi East, is looking for their son Bokang Baloyi (5) who mysteriously disappeared on Thursday afternoon.

The little boy was last seen playing outside his home around 17:00 and has not been seen since.

He wore grey short pants, a camouflage T-shirt and brown leather scandals.

His mother, Elizabeth (42) said she had left her son at home with a tenant while visiting a family member.

She said when she returned, her son was nowhere to be found.

“The tenant told me, she was busy cooking, while little Bokang was playing outside and he was also going out of the yard to play and would come back,” she said.

“We searched for little Bokang without any success… we have searched almost everywhere, asked neighbours and his friends,” said added.

She said she could not sleep without knowing where her son was and pleaded for his safe return.

He left the yard and the tenant thought he would return but has not.

“My son always goes out to play but comes back and this is the first time my son has gone out and not come back,” she said.

Baloyi said it was not the first time she had left her son with the tenant and said she trusted her because she had known her for years.

The family reported him missing at the Mamelodi East police station.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Bokang Baloyi, contact the Mamelodi East police or call 10111 or Elizabeth Baloyi on 083 527 2055.
