Tshwane call centre crashes due to load-shedding
The service has collapsed leaving residents unable to log complaints. While technicians are working on the problem, residents are urged to use the email lines.
The Tshwane metro has announced that its call centre was down on Wednesday morning.
Spokesperson Lindela Mashigo confirmed that the call centre crashed due to load-shedding.
“Tshwane would like to apologise to customers who cannot get through to our call centre.
“The city is fully aware of the downtime and a dedicated team of technicians is working on restoring the lines,” Mashigo said.
He assured residents that the system would be operational soon but in the meantime could send their complaints via email.
“The system should be in working order soon. In the meantime, customers are urged to use the email lines, which are designated for reporting faults and complaints regarding the city’s services,” he said.
Here is the email address list for complaints:
– for customer care queries: customercare@tshwane.gov.za
– for waste management queries: Wastemanagement@tshwane.gov.za
– to report water leaks: Waterleaks@tshwane.gov.za
– to report sewer blockage: Sewerblockages@tshwane.gov.za
– to report potholes: potholes@tshwane.gov.za
– to report faulty traffic lights: trafficsignalfaults@tshwane.gov.za
– meter readings can be emailed to Meterreadings@tshwane.gov.za.
Mashigo said residents can retrieve their account statements and upload meter readings via the Tshwane e-services portal.
