Triple the fun with cars, beer and pancakes
The three-in-one market featured a car show, beer drinking contest, and a pancake eating competition.
The Woelige Moot Mark held a three-in-one market on Saturday with a car show, beer drinking contest and a pancake eating contest.
Organiser Theresa Stoltz said the market at Toutrek Park in 14th Avenue, Rietfontein had more than 30 stalls selling anything from books to leather products, arts and crafts, clothes, handbags, and food.

“The environment is child- and family-friendly. You can also come along with friends and learn about vintage vehicles,” said Stoltz.

Children were entertained with horse riding, face painting and a jumping castle.
Stoltz said the car show was organised by Van Toeka tot Nou motor club, whereby a variety of old and modified vehicles dating back to 1935 were on display.
Farouk Hassam, a food vendor, said he loves the market.
“The market is all about supporting each other and helping grow each other’s businesses,” said Hassam.
The market is held twice a year and runs from 08:00 to 15:00.

On November 29, The Woelige Moot Market and Bittereinders organisation will host a fundraising event starting from 08:00 until late.
There will be lots of food vendors, jumping castles, boeresport, horse riding, singers and children’s games.

The money raised will be donated to underprivileged children and old people.
Residents are welcome to come and join in the fun and donate.
