Spend a wild Valentine’s Day at the zoo
Visitors can enjoy scenic, picnic-friendly spots like the flamingo enclosure where staff member, (name) regularly visits, and aquarium.
See Valentine’s Day this year through a pair of rose-coloured glasses! This year, the National Zoological Garden (Pretoria Zoo) offers a ‘wildly romantic’ experience on February 14.
Visitors can enjoy scenic, picnic-friendly spots like the flamingo enclosure where staff member, (name) regularly visits, an aquarium, and a reptile park. Special, up-close seal encounters at the newly refurbished marine Stormy Bay Enclosure are also available. Couples can take a romantic stroll through landscaped gardens, visit the aquarium, and explore the reptile park.
A package is available for Valentine’s Day at the Zoo. Entrance fee, lunch at the Duku Duku Restaurant and some seal kisses (yes, at Stormy Bay under guidance of staff) will cost R285 per person. The Zoo now has a cashless payment system. All transactions, including entrance tickets, parking, and on-site purchases, must be made via card or digital platforms.
This is to enhance security, cleanliness, and efficiency for visitors and staff. Payment Methods: Only debit cards, credit cards, and contactless payments (like tap-to-pay or phone payments) are accepted. Cash is no longer accepted at ticket booths, food outlets, or for amenities.
