The UP-Tuks have booked their place in the semi-final of the Varsity Cup competition with a 2-0 victory over Vaal on Monday evening.
Two goals in the first-half from Claudio de Almeida and Tebogo Galane saw Tuks into the semis and Vaal University of Technology eliminated from the competition.
A win means Tuks will now play in their third consecutive final although they will need to wait for the results from the TUT and North West University Pukke game on Thursday.
A few weeks ago, the University of Pretoria were in a do-or-die clash when they had to defeat NWU Pukke. The boys responded in style and walloped Pukke 3-0 to climb into second place.
With two more goals added on Monday evening, it looks like they might secure a home final due to a superior goal difference. University of Western Cape have already topped the log with five wins.
TUT who lie third on the log, will need at least a draw against Pukke if they are to make a semis. They have 10 points from six games while Pukke has nine from the six games.
