Sport Highlights, 2 – 4 December
The International Sevens series kicks off this weekend in Dubai and supporters of the Blitz Boks will hope their team do better than their colleagues in the 15-man code.
It’s the month of December and even sportsmen start to take things slowly because of the coming holiday season. Yet there are still enough sports events to amuse fans on TV and the field.

The Proteas will only be in action again the day after Christmas when their test series against SriLanka starts. In the meantime there will be plenty of local action to keep cricket lovers busy. This coming week the log-leading Titans will again be in action twice. The good news for local fans is that they will play both games at home in Centurion. On Friday night they take on the Warriors at 18:00.
On Wednesday, Albie Morkel and his men will be back at SuperSport Park to play against the Highveld Lions at 18:00.
The World Rugby Sevens Series starts this weekend with the first tournament in Dubai. The Springboks will definitely try to collect as many league points as possible from the first tournament. The Sevens Springboks are drawn in a group with Uganda, Scotland and the USA and their first game will be against Uganda on Friday at 08:05.

The inaugural Forest Hill City Summer race takes place in Centurion on Sunday, 4 December.
The event, which includes a 10km road race and a 5km run/walk, will see club and social athletes enjoying a scenic out-and-back route through the plots and upmarket residential estates surrounding the host shopping centre, Forest Hill. Both races start at 07:00 and medals will be awarded to all finishers who cross the line within the two-hour cut-off time.

The weekend is also packed with soccer action again. All the Premier League teams will be in action. Mamelodi Sundowns will take on Free State Stars at the Lucas Moripe stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday at 15:30.
SuperSport United also play against a team from the Free State, but they will travel to Bloemfontein Celtic’s Dr Molemela Stadium. The game starts at 15:30 on Sunday.
