SPORT: Tau completes his dream move to England
The Pretoria based midfielder helped Sundowns to five major titles including the CAF Champions League.
Percy Tau has completed his move from Mamelodi Sundowns to English side Brighton & Hove Albion.
The English club confirmed on their website on Friday that a deal had been penned with the former Sundowns striker on undisclosed terms.
The 24-year-old agreed on a four-year deal and will be loaned out ahead of the new season.
Club Manager Chris Hughton said Tau was in their plans ahead despite being loaned out.
“Percy will go out on loan this season, play regularly and get some experience of European football. We will be watching his progress and monitoring his development over the season,” he said.
The former Clapham High pupil spent four seasons with Sundowns where he helped the side to three league titles.
“I would like to thank the Mamelodi Sundowns family, the president, the board, management, staff, supporters and the players for the incredible memories and experiences which we shared throughout my time at Sundowns,” Tau said.
