Sundowns, Tuks in Tshwane derby

Sundowns take down Tuks in a league encounter.

Local soccer fans will have a blast this weekend, as Mamelodi Sundowns host University of Pretoria at the Lucas Moripe stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday evening.

The teams have enjoyed different fortunes since the start of the 2015/2016 campaign.

The Brazilians are chasing the record seventh title while Amatuks are struggling at the bottom. Tuks are second from bottom with just two wins from their 12 games.

A win for Tuks will see them leapfrog Jomo Cosmos but anything less will see them in the same position.

Sundowns, on the other hand, have been the team to watch this season after destroying Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates last December.

With eight wins to brag about this season, there’s no doubt the Brazilians will look for nothing more than three points while Tuks will be content with a draw.

SuperSport United take down Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba stadium.

Matsatsantsa will look to challenge for top honours after a slow start to the season. Their last game didn’t aid their cause as they only managed a 2-2 draw with Maritzburg United.

Gordon Igesund’s men have been inconsistent but a win for him on Saturday, can take them to fifth in the log if other results go their way.
